
SPEL, Inc. was established in 1990 as the private company in the town of Kolin, located approximately 60 kilometres from Prague the capital of the Czech republic. From its foundation it is focused on branch of automation and control the technological processes. In this field it closely co-operates with world leading firm in the branch of automating tools, American company Rockwell Automation - Allen Bradley. SPEL began as authorized distributor of this firm, following it expanded its activities by engineering and then even by production.
Rockwell Automation bought in 1994 important European producer of low voltage tools - Swiss firm Sprecher + Schuh. SPEL won a competition on co-production for Sprecher + Schuh company. This production for Rockwell Automation was introduced in July 1995 and since its production volume has been growing every year.
In July 1996 there was introduced co-production of cable harnesses and solenoids for Thermo King branch offices in Kolin, Czech Republic and Galway, Ireland. SPEL produces harnesses and cables of air-conditioning and refrigerator units for automobile and railway transportation. The volume of production for this firm has been constantly growing too.
Following the SPEL production has been expanded by low voltage control panels for Ingersoll - Rand company.
Presently SPEL disposes capabilities for construction and manufacture of low voltage control panels so that we are able to ensure in short term and high quality:
The last type of production in SPEL is manufacturing and tuning microwaven antenna filtres of mobile communication GSM and UMTS for Italian firm FOREM, which is part of Allen Telecom.
The team of about 350 experienced employees is focused on deliveries of quality products, systems and services.
Quality of all the mentioned facts is assured because since 1999 SPEL has been certified according to ISO 9002. In year 2003 we extended certificate by the EN ISO 9001:2000.
